Mayan Wellness Retreat I absolutely love love loved this experience!! I thought the entire ritual was amazing!! We paid $99 per person and in my opinion it was worth every red cent. I would do it again and again!! Everything I mean everything from the copal cleansing to the coconut water bath and the massage in the hammocks and my personal favorite part was the Temazcal (like a sauna) where you sit and focus on becoming a better version of yourself, guided by the beautiful voice of your guide who drums and sings ritual songs. Such a beautiful experience!!! I give this experience 10 Stars!!!
Had a relaxing day My wife and I took the Mayan Healing Ritual excursion from our Royal Caribbean cruise. We had a mixed review. I liked the historical experience of the ritual, but was concerned with the bath steps. Felt like the tub water may have been the same for me as for previous guests. So I was a little squeamish about it. My husband had no issue. He agreed to add a back massage which was a good value. Afterward, we had access to an area that had lounges, a lazy river, and bar services including a swim-up bar. We relaxed most of the rest of the day. There were other activities and restaurants as well as plenty of shopping.
Mayan Wellness Ritual; AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! My three sisters and I just did Maya Wellness Ritual excursion offered on Celebrity Equinox. It was OUTSTANDING! It was a unique spa day type experience. They take you in groups of 6 so we had two people in our group that we did not know but that was not an issue at all. It felt was luxurious. You have several different purifying experiences including herbal smoke, several relaxing baths, a sweat lodge type hot room, facial massage, and clay mask. The do some chanting and singing which was not a problem for me. The last stage was a hammock massage which was a new and amazing experience for all of us. Everyone in our group loved it. My sisters and I got an appointment for an additional 40 minute ($60) hammock massage. All the staff members were highly professional and went above and beyond to made sure we were happy. I HIGHLY recommend the Mayan Wellness Ritual. One of the best excursions I have ever done. FYI; you wear a swimsuit for the experience.
