Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour

All about the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins:

Short Description

The wonders of our Mayan Civilization live in every corner of Chacchoben. This amazing archaeological site, also known as “The Place of the Red Corn” is an experience you can’t miss!

The tour starts at the port, where you will take your transportation. There you will enjoy the sights on a 60-minute ride to the site. Welcome to Chacchoben! Your guide will give you all the information you need, so if you have any questions, don’t worry! He/She will be happy to help you. Get ready to enjoy the sights of pyramids. Climb the beautiful Gran Basamento. Visit the temples and see the ancient paintings and ceremonial offerings dating to around 1000 B.C.

Besides all of these, you will also learn about the use of medicinal plants from our ancestors and their importance. We use these techniques until this day1

This tour is designed for adventurers who enjoy learning about our culture. So book it if you are ready! We know you will have the time of your life on your next stop at Costa Maya.

Improved port
I´ve been at Costa Maia before and nowadays the port has really improved, with better services and shops. Also, the excursions to the Mayan´s ruins are really worth it!
